This section highlights my internship experiences. I completed my elementary practicum with Principal Ms. Carol Strowbridge and my secondary practicum with Principal Dr. Dennis Copeland, both at Randolph Middle School.
This is a list of activities I completed as part of my elementary internship. It includes, among other things, turn-key training for a new evaluation model, oversight of the NJASK standardized tests, scheduling within a new master schedule, disciplinary conferences, personnel interviews, and classroom observations.
This is a list of activities I completed as part of my secondary internship. It includes, among other things, personnel interviews, reassigning classrooms within a new master schedule, the creation of a new learning readiness program for Title I students, and mandatory safety drills.
This is my analysis of survey results that I compiled after a 5th Grade Parent Orientation. The results indicated that very few respondents attended the Special Education pre-program sessions and that the sessions were favorably received by the majority of respondents.
I am especially proud of this program that I helped to create. It was designed as an intervention for Title I students with partially-proficient NJASK scores. I helped to arrange all aspects of this program including busing, meals, and the multi-lingual invitation featured here.
To prepare for the reassignment of rooms due to a new master schedule, I visited each room to inventory its equipment. This helped to ensure that any changes would not leave any teacher without equipment they were accustomed to utilizing. The list can also be used to plan for the ordering of additional equipment.
This is an overview of teachers' classroom assignments I compiled once the master scheduling was complete. The draft versions of this worksheet also helped me to see and minimize the number of rooms and distance between rooms for travelling teachers.
The new master schedule called for music rehearsals to take place during lunch periods. I worked with the Food Services Director to help plan for the efficient serving of school lunches. I created this chart to determine the number of students needing kiosk lunch service each day of the week.
The last chart in this section reflects one aspect of the implementation of the master schedule. It shows how I assigned the PE staff to teaching periods and classrooms while considering the available teaching space and adhering to the district's labor contract.
